Floor Washer Sample Checklist: 12 Checks Before Mass Production
Short answer: Before you approve a floor washer sample, test runtime on both gears, water pickup on your floor types, leaks from both tanks, the self-cleaning cycle, charging time, noise, and the quality of your logo, colour and packaging.
Changes are easy before you approve the sample. After approval, the sample is the standard for your whole order. Our branded samples are ready in 10 days. These are the checks we suggest before you approve one.
Performance
- Runtime on both gears. Charge fully, then run on High until it stops, and repeat on Low. Compare with the spec sheet, for example 35 minutes on High and 45 on Low for our GT8 series.
- Charging time. Time a full charge from empty. Our GT8 and GT9 series are listed at 5.5 hours, GT6 and GT3 at 5 hours.
- Water pickup. Spill water, milk and something sticky on the floor types your shoppers have: tile, laminate, sealed wood. Check that one or two passes leave the floor close to dry.
- Edges and corners. Run along a wall. Models with an edge brush, like the GT6 and GT9, should leave a narrower dirty strip than a plain roller.
- Noise. Measure on both gears from about one metre. Compare with the listed values, for example 78 dB on High and 73 dB on Low for the GT8.
Water system
- Leaks. Fill the clean tank, lay the machine flat if it lies flat, and check that nothing drips. Empty the dirty tank and check the seal.
- Self-cleaning cycle. Put the machine on its dock, start self-cleaning and check that the roller comes out rinsed. On the GT9, check that the roller air drying runs after the cycle.
- Odour after a day. Leave the machine on the dock overnight after use. A dirty tank and roller that smell after 24 hours will become a complaint in reviews.
Your brand and packaging
- Logo. Check position, size and print quality. Pad printing and hot stamping should not rub off when you wipe the housing with a damp cloth.
- Colour. Compare the body colour with your reference in daylight and under office lights.
- Colour box. Check artwork, barcode, model name and the text for your market. Shake the box: nothing should rattle.
- Carton. Check the outer carton marks and the number of units per carton, so your warehouse can plan pallets.
After you approve
Write down what you checked and keep one approved sample. Our QC team uses the approved sample as the reference for the order, from IPQC on the line to OQC before shipment. Mass production for a first order takes 45 days.
